Gymnastics Centre Statement; Cancellation of SOME CLASSES

Due to the latest government advice regarding social distancing and the need to reduce non-essential contact, regrettably, we have taken the following responsible decision;

From 4pm today and until further notice we will be cancelling the following classes;

Recreational Gymnastics

Drop-in Gymnastics

Pre School Gymnastics

Youth Gymnastics

1 – 1 Gymnastics coaching

University Gymnastics

Cheerleading

Adult Gymnastics

Performance gymnastics will continue at a reduced timetable.  Information will be communicated directly to our performance gymnasts separately.

Please bear with us during this fast moving situation, we are monitoring it closely and will be in touch with each group of users with regular updates and we thank you for your patience and understanding.

We are hopeful that things will get back to normal soon and we hope to see you return in the not too distant future.

Regards

Coronavirus Update

Many of you will have heard the news stories regarding the spread of the Coronavirus and the actions that some countries have taken in order to try and stop the spread of the disease, including the closure of sports and leisure centres.  We are taking advice from the Public Health England website with regard to this and the precautions that can be taken. We will not be closing the centre unless notified by Public Health England, however, should any centre user have to self-isolate, please inform your personal coach and, if appropriate, and if the gymnast is well enough, an at-home conditioning program plus skill specific exercises will be provided for the gymnasts affected.

May we also take this opportunity to ask all centre users (gymnasts, coaches and spectators) to wash your hands thoroughly before and after the session. Please also take a moment to read the NHS’ advice regarding self-isolation https://www.nhs.uk/conditions/coronavirus-covid-19/self-isolation-advice/
