We run Youth Gymnastics sessions each Friday evening from 8.00 to 9.30pm.
These classes are aimed at girls and boys aged 14-17 and were started by Jill Tan as this was an age group that we did not cater for previoulsy, despite a large demand.
Youth Gymnastics classes are suitable for all gymnastic abilities from absolute ‘never done gymnastics’ to ex gymnasts wanting to stay fit and keep their skills up.
We get a lot of website enquiries asking about what to wear for Youth Gymnastics. The answer is ‘anything that is comfortable and suitable for gym’ (leggings and t-shirt, jogging suit, shorts and top, leotard) but not jeans.
Classes are £5 per session paid termly in advance at reception.
You’re welcome to turn up and pay £5 for a taster session before deciding if you would like to join the group on a termly basis.
Our gymnasts are welcome to stay at Youth Gym level during their 14-17 years but, we also have the opportunity for them to move to General Gymnastics or TeamGym if our coaches think they have the talent. Also, once our Youths reach 18 they are encouraged to join either our Adult Gymnastics Classes or our Senior TeamGym Squad.
