General Gymnastics got their first competition of 2016 off to a brilliant start at the North Grades competition on Sunday 21 February at South Durham Gymnastics Club. For many of the gymnasts, this was their first competition and they really have set the bar high with all gymnasts passing with either a Commended or Distinction score!

Our Junior Grade 6 teams achieved Team Gold and Team 5th, which is a fantastic achievement considering the standard of competition. Our senior teams also did not disappoint, also clinching Grade 6 Team Gold and Team 4th! The medals didn't just stop there, without Grade 6 Juniors taking up the whole podium with Jodie crowned Champion, Ebony in 2nd, Faye 3rd, Maisee 4th and Abbie 5th! Seniors again came up trumped with Holly achieving 2nd place, Zhen Zhen 3rd, Jessie 4th, Sabina 6th!

In Grade 5 12+, Emily came away from her first competition in 5th, and Katie returned to the podium in Grade 4 U11 in second place. In the grade 3 open category Gabriella Nagy  also came away in 2nd position!

Full scores below - Huge congratulations to all gymnasts who competed!
