Last weekend the prestigious Men’s U16, U18, Senior and Women’s Junior & Senior British Championships 2015 was held at the Echo Arena, Liverpool and produced some world class gymnastics from a field of gymnasts from all over the country. Included in this fantastic event were 3 gymnasts from the City of Newcastle Gymnastics Academy.

  Lana Chilton competed in the Women's Junior competition and showed flashes of excellence but a couple of errors pushed her down the field but still managed to finish in 15th position overall.

 

 

 

 

Men’s Under 16

Harry Ross who was discharged from hospital 4 days before his competition performed well in his age group producing some excellent routines and finished 20th Overall. Harry finished 4th on vault in his age group and 12th across the whole weekend of all age groups including senior gymnasts.

Men’s Under 18

James Hodgson produced one of his finest competitions of the year to finish in 9th position overall with a personal best score of 73.200. James finished in the top 10 on 5 apparatus, finishing 8th on Pommel & Rings, 7th on P-bars and 6th on Vault. The highlight of the weekend was James becoming the Under 18 British High Bar Silver medallist.
