City of Newcastle Academy sent 2 boys to compete at the u12 British Championships 2015 at Basildon Sporting Village, London.

On Saturday 5th December 2015 George Ross & Freddy Nelson competed in their first British Championships.

During warm up George incurred an injury to his elbow while doing his double back somersault dismount off P-bars. George seen the physio, who taped him up and he managed with simplified routines to compete on all 6 apparatus. George battled through finishing 41st overall  with a score of 60.232 and finished 7th overall on vault.

 

Freddy Nelson  finished 7th overall with a new PB with a total score of 70.999. Freddy had some fantastic individual apparatus scores finishing 10th on pommel, 6th on vault, 5th on p-bars and 4th on floor. Outstanding results for first year British.
