Newcastle Gymnastics Academy has a long association with Sport Newcastle and this year they’ve put forward one of their boys who’s only twelve years old.
British Gymnastics has already sent the Men’s National Coach up to the Academy to advise on training for this outstanding prospect who goes to the Royal Grammar School. Not surprising really, as this young lad has finished top 6 All Around at the English Championships and top ten at Great Britain level.
But his star performance was in becoming the English and British vault champion for his age group. And no local gymnast at any age has achieved this for more than fifteen years. He’s ranked the number one gymnast in the north.

Our Men’s Artistic boys travelled to Leeds gymnastics for a control competition in preparation for the British and English Championships this month.
A huge thank you to all the clubs that attended this years Spooky Spectacular Competition. 470 gymnasts competed across 3 days of competition.
Here is a copy of the Spooky Spectacular Results for 2016 and we hope to see you all again in 2017.
Our annual pit clean will take place on Friday 29th July 2016 at 4pm/4.30pm.
Could we ask for as many parents, gymnasts, coaches etc to come and volunteer their time to empty out our pit.
This year the whole of the pit needs emptied, cleaned and small sections of foam bagged and placed into the skip.
We need as much strength as possible to lift out the trampoline as this is being serviced this year.
Thank you for your support in this matter in advance.
